The countdown is officially on, LEGO fans! We’re just ONE WEEK away from the most brick-tacular event of the year: Newcastle Brickfest A LEGO Fan Event 2025! Get ready to immerse yourselves in a world of endless creativity, awe-inspiring builds, and pure LEGO magic.
Mark your calendars, set your reminders, and get your building fingers limbered up because on Saturday, July 5th and Sunday, July 6th, the Newcastle Jockey Club will transform into a vibrant wonderland of bricks!
This year, Rainbow Bricks LUG is pulling out all the stops to make Newcastle Brickfest bigger and better than ever. We’re incredibly excited to bring you:
- Hundreds of Tables of Incredible Displays: Prepare to be amazed! Our talented exhibitors, including Master LEGO Builders from across Australia, have been meticulously crafting breathtaking creations. From towering cityscapes and intricate vehicles to beloved pop culture scenes and fantastical worlds, there’s something to inspire every imagination. This promises to be our largest event yet, with nearly 300 tables of displays, making it the biggest in NSW and regional Australia!
- Interactive Fun for All Ages: It’s not just about looking! Unleash your own creativity in our dedicated LEGO Build Area. Test your speed and skill in the popular Speed Builds competition, running hourly. Embark on a scavenger hunt to Find A Minifigure hidden on displays for a chance to win a prize, or get colourful in our Colouring In competition for the under 12s.
- Meet Your Favourite Characters: Get ready for some fantastic photo opportunities! We’ll have cosplayers from the 501st Hunter Hornet Squad bringing the Star Wars universe to life, along with the amazing Premier State Ghostbusters and enchanting Pixie Dusted Event princesses.
- LEGO Vendors Galore: Looking for that elusive minifigure, a special set, or unique accessories? Our LEGO vendors will have a fantastic array of items available for purchase.
- Monster LEGO Raffle: Don’t miss your chance to win some incredible LEGO prizes in our highly anticipated raffle!
- Building for a Cause: At the heart of Newcastle Brickfest is our commitment to giving back. All profits from the event will be donated to the John Hunter Children’s Hospital Kids Club, providing vital support to children and their families during challenging times. Your ticket purchase directly contributes to making a positive impact.
- Dedicated Sensory Session: We’re proud to offer a special 90-minute Sensory Session on Sunday, July 6th, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. This session provides a calmer, less stimulating environment for individuals with sensory sensitivities to enjoy the displays at their own pace. We also proudly accept Companion Cards.
