3,495 pieces, 12 minifigures and a dojo full of traps and secrets, from the new NINJAGO Legends: Embers + Ashes series.
NINJAGO starts 2027 with a big one. 71888 Ivo's Ninja Dojo is a 3,495-piece set based on the new NINJAGO Legends: Embers + Ashes TV series. It's available from 1 January 2027, and pre-orders are already open on LEGO.com.
The dojo is a fairly square temple with angled sections that give it depth. Built, it's about 37 cm tall and 36 cm wide. The levels lift off so you can get inside, and there's plenty hidden in there: elemental lanterns, weapons and other references for NINJAGO fans to find.
It's built for action as well as display. There are sliding doors, a spinning mechanism for ninja training, terrain that drops away under the losing fighter, sections designed to break apart in a battle, and a dial that opens a hidden passage. There's also a hoverbike for Mira. Park it against the dojo on transparent bricks and it looks like it's floating.
There are 12 minifigures: Jin, Mira, Nate, Tre, Master Ivo, Master Zane, Gigi, Duncan, Madge, Roland, the Oni Imperator and an Oni Warrior. Several are new characters from Embers + Ashes. The weapons include swords, nunchucks, sai, a claw and spears, and the box also comes with an exclusive poster.
The Embers + Ashes series is due to debut in March 2027, so the set will arrive a couple of months before the show.
The Dojo is exclusive to LEGO.com and LEGO Stores, so you won't find it in the department stores. LEGO.com is also expected to have a free bonus set on offer from 1 January, which could be the 40976 Prosperity Lion. It's worth checking before you order.
More of Ivo's Ninja Dojo

It's a great-looking set. The dojo has plenty of layers and detail, the play features look like a lot of fun, and 12 minifigures is a generous cast. If you've grown up with NINJAGO since it started in 2011, I can see this being a big one for you.
For me, though, it's not on my shopping list. I'll enjoy it from a distance, and I'm looking forward to seeing members' builds of it on the display tables.
