I have been a James Bond fan since 1977 when I went to see ‘The Spy Who Loved Me.’ as an eight-year-old. I would love to see the Lotus Esprit, which was featured in that movie as a Speed Champions set somewhere down the line. That would be cool 😎😎 I also love the Speed Champions theme so to start bringing some of the iconic movie cars is a win-win for me.

The 1964 Aston Martin DB5 sports car model comes with moulded silver-coloured wire wheel rim inserts, four extra sets of license plates representing different James Bond movies, and a mini figure that the website calls a ‘No Time To Die-James Bond minifigure.’ We call him Daniels, Craig Daniels. 😀

As there are only 298 pieces is a pretty quick build with some good techniques and parts uses. I enjoyed building the set and was excited to start taking a few photos—we have ideas for more to come. Based on the price per part, the set is pretty good value, especially compared to some sets/themes.

What I like about the set is you can build it without stickers if you want, and it will still look good. I added the stickers and didn’t do a great job, which is one reason why I don’t like sticker sheets! 🙁🙁 The set has three new printed elements, which are great: the front and rear headlights and the front grill. They could now be used in other sets and used by AFOLs when creating MOCs.

If you are looking to purchase this set, I got mine from Kmart and paid $29, their everyday price, rather than the RRP of $33. All pennies in my pocket are better and can go towards the next set…
