We were very excited to be back in person, displaying our LEGO creations for the public to enjoy. 🙂
The Ninth Edition of the Newcastle Brickfest A LEGO Fan Event was a great weekend! We may have had some issues with the rain, but it was still fun. There were 70 exhibits, with 100 exhibitors and 250 tables of LEGO displays. Making it one of Australia’s largest, longest running and Premier LEGO Fan Events!
Some exhibitors travelled from Queensland, Victoria, the ACT, NSW and many local builders. As a result, we had some of Australia’s best builders displaying their latest creations. Plus, we had many of the LEGO Masters 2022 contestants join us in displaying. They were very popular with the public as well as the exhibitors. It was a pleasure to have them join us for the weekend, and look forward to seeing them again at future events.
On Saturday afternoon, NBN News visited the event and shared our event with their viewers on the Saturday night news.
Each hour we ran “LEGO Speed Builds”, A mini LEGO Masters build competition for the kids to enjoy. Everyone who entered got a certificate, with each winner receiving a LEGO Trophy or LEGO Keyring.
The final Edition on Sunday Afternoon was a “LEGO Masters edition” with the LEGO Masters contestant paired with a child from the crowd who answered a trivia question about their LEGO Masters story. We are not sure who won that Edition!?1 But it was fun! 🙂
